Michael Le As Nike turns the Kyrie 7 over to the kids, they’ve added an element of fun alongside. While the colorway itself may seem drab in its look, it complements the brand’s newest friend Chip who proudly sits atop the shoe.
Wide-eyed with a blank stare, the anthropomorphic mascot is affixed to the tongue, placed just above a silver-cast name tag. He makes a second, more hidden appearance on the insole, whose green pastures are far distinct from the neutrals that dress the exterior. Primarily grey-based, the upper is inspired wholly by Chip himself, his eyes and teeth even represented by way of the forefoot’s eye stays, the Swoosh, and the subtly speckled midsole.
