As Nike’s “Move to Zero” initiative continues to expand its roster of eco-conscious styles, perhaps we will soon be approaching the day when sustainable footwear becomes the norm. Expediting the journey is a Nike Air Force 1 Crater Flyknit in a black and white colorway versatile enough for everyday wear.
This new colorway flaunts a black recycled Flyknit upper that incorporates specks of red. Lacestays, profile Swooshes, and the heel tab are composed of faux leather in a dark grey “Anthracite” shade for a tonal look. The use of sustainable materials continues onto the sole unit, which consists of Crater foam. The speckled look not only adds pop of color to the greyscale model but also differs among each shoe for a one-of-a-kind design. As a mark of the style’s efforts in sustainability, the “Move to Zero” campaign’s pinwheel Swoosh logo is printed on the neon green insole.
