Michael Le As Kanye shacks up in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium to finish up “DONDA,” the adidas Yeezy HQ is more comfortably preparing his upcoming footwear. Alongside new colorways of the Foam Runner and 700 v3, we can expect the Yeezy Boost 700 v2 “Mauve” to land alongside.
Though a spiritual successor to the same-named 700 v1, the pair does with its color something relatively unique. Unlike the original, the greyed out neutrals sit more center stage, dressing not just the suede mudguard and heel but also the eye stay and toe cap. Underneath, the titular brown serves as more of an accent, dressing the mesh throughout the upper as well as the entirety of the midsole. Gum bottoms, then, finish below, rounding out a return to earth-tone form.
