Jasmine Tang Despite being overshadowed by its other Max Air counterparts in recent years, the Nike Air Max BW remains a favorite to many. Global love for the silhouette is the theme for the upcoming “City Pack” as the trainer celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. After revealing the “Rotterdam” and “Los Angeles” arrangements, the pack picks the French city of Lyon as its next destination.
The pair opts for a greyscale approach that sees black leather meshes and overlays, as well as a plus grey collar and tongue. This special edition includes a classic Nike Swoosh logo on the tongue of one shoe and a Lyon variation of the logo on the other. The city’s name is also found on the heel as TPU accents, similar to other offerings within the “City Pack.” Additionally, the silver lace dubraes show both 1991 and 2021 on them to further celebrate the model’s 30th birthday. “Nike International” insignia featuring the French flag is printed on the insoles to finish off the commemorative style.
