Since entering the market, the Nike Waffle One hasn’t received a high-profile collaboration. Yet, the silhouette has garnered notable attention for its clean design and relative affordability. Recently, however, the vintage-inspired model has delivered a minor update to its preexisting roster.
Suede overlays maintain their traditional placement around the toe, along the tongue and across the heel. Elsewhere, bases maintains a partially see-through makeup, but trade mesh for nylon. Akin to several Nike React-cushioned options before it, the newly-surfaced pair indulges in a grid pattern across its semi-transparent material. Surrounding components carry out a grey scale arrangement that contrasts the white foam midsole. Underfoot, outsoles favor a standard all-black waffle-patterned outsole, nodding to the Swoosh’s earliest innovation.
