Few hoopers in the history of the game are as decorated as Candace Parker. MVPs, championships, and All-WNBA selections make up just some of the hardware and accolades that Parker has amassed in her career, but her most influential achievement is the intangible elevation and representation she’s contributed to women’s sports. This past September 16th, her hometown of Chicago immortalized her status by proclaiming that date as Candace Parker Day, and adidas is alongside to honor the arguable GOAT with a full collection that celebrates Parker’s latest distinction.
Part of the collection is the adidas Exhibit (A)ce Low in three coloways that represent three key phases of her life and career. The orange colorway specifically pays tribute to the late Pat Summitt, Candace’s coach at the University of Tennessee, while the others are a nod to her daughter and the future generation creators. The low-top silhouette is cushioned with a Lightstrike midsole and offers a lightweight and ventilated package that fits all positions on the court.
Culminating in the announcement is the brand’s “Impossible Is Nothing” spot, which features Parker, Derrick Rose, Pat Mahomes, Fernando Tatis Jr., and Jackie Joyner-Kersee.
The entire collection is scheduled to launch on September 23rd; sign up here for updates on availability.
