Officially unveiled as part of NIKE, Inc.’s “Space Jam: A New Legacy” collection, the Nike LeBron 19 has only otherwise ever surfaced on the feet of the man behind the shoes. Most recently, LeBron James‘ 19th signature sneaker has emerged in a “Black/Red” (“Bred”) colorway via unofficial images.

Although the upcoming silhouette maintains a tall silhouette like the Nike LeBron 18, the latest model ostensibly swaps FlyKnit construction across the upper for a semi-transparent, synthetic-reinforced mesh. Technical specifications for “the kid from Akron’s” next basketball sneaker haven’t been revealed, but the pair’s grid-like pattern across the top-half is reminiscent of ultra-lightweight Nike React-cushioned propositions from yesteryear. Angular molded overlays connect to the midsole and heel in order to deliver support and stability to the current Los Angeles Lakers superstar; components feature traditional Nike LeBron branding. Tongues forgo the handful of Airbags, but feature a a decoupled unit towards the top of the tongue. Underfoot, James’ newest offering – which was likely designed by Jason Petrie and team – opts for a Nike Vapormax-reminiscent cushioning setup. Given the 36-year-old’s love for the visible Air technology, it’s likely the 19’s tooling is the latest iteration of the basketball-specific Max Air that LeBron helped debut in 2009.

No official Nike.com release date has been disclosed by the brand, but this LeBron 19 is likely to hit retailers before 2021 ends. In the meantime, enjoy images of the pair ahead.
