The formula for the Nike Dunk High is simple: colored overlays, matching outsole, and white everywhere else. This has long been employed ever since the “Be True To Your School” pack’s inception. But in the many years since then, the brand has played heavily with this template — and here, we’re seeing one of their more simpler interpretations.
Above, the upper is rather straightforward, adding a quiet third to a mostly two-toned performance. An orange shade, one quite a few notches lighter than the “Syracuse,” dresses the overlaid paneling, laces, and tongue label. The Swoosh, while tonally identical at a glance, is far less saturated, blending better into the white leather background. Below, in subversion of your expectations, the tread colors bold in red, providing a rather stark contrast to the rest of the palette.
