As the Air Jordan 1 inches closer to its 40th anniversary, it continues to remix beloved color palettes for the modern day. The latest example?: A “White/Black/Grey Fog/Bleached Coral” proposition reminiscent of the original “Shadow” colorway.
While yet to surface via official product imagery, the newly-rumored pair has been mocked-up as following 1985’s “Black Toe” color-blocking. A “yin-and-yang”-appropriate combination takes over much of the (expected) smooth leather upper, with contrasting “Grey Fog” landing on the bottom heel panel and outsole. To further differentiate the retro from past styles, including 2014’s “Barons” release, Jordan Brand has animated “NIKE AIR” branding on the top of the tongue with an out-of-place “Bleached Coral” tone, as its parent company has done with some Nike Dunks. The final retail product may include more of the vibrant pink color, but that’s yet to be confirmed.
Enjoy an initial mock-up of the pair here below, and anticipate official Nike SNKRS release details as 2022 gets underway.
Elsewhere under the NIKE, Inc. umbrella, the LeBron James Innovation Center was recently unveiled.
