Through Next Nature, Nike is rethinking how they approach sustainability. Rather than bring attention to it, the collection errs towards something more universal, applying mostly black and white colorways to the selection of models. Here, though, we’re taking a small step towards color as the Blazer Mid incorporates “Coconut Milk.”
A few shades more saturated than “Sail,” the pantone runs throughout the exterior, dressing everything from the lace unit to the leather base. And the latter, due likely in part to its recycled nature, displays a unique tumbling, one far less intense than what we’re familiar with. The whites of the heel tab and Swoosh, by comparison, are much smoother, appearing ordinary like the suede toe and forefoot overlay.
Sat atop a scrap-composed tooling and finished with a circular design logo, the pair is sure to hit Nike.com and select retailers soon.
