Michael Le With every release, Palace has no difficulty having fun. Following an ode to fictional employee-of-the-month Jeremy the Duck, the streetwear imprint is rejoining Vans for yet another playful collaboration. This time, though, they’re turning out the lights to cultivate mushrooms atop the beloved Sk8-Hi.
Though prepared in three distinct colorways, each pair follows a similar schema. The overlays, instep, and toe box, which are constructed out of a smooth suede, are bereft of all graphics. These are directed instead to the canvas side panel, whose entire exterior is covered in a mushroom-themed version of the Palace logo. Co-branding, then, rounds out the design along the tongue label, dressing both names in Vans’ signature shade of red.
