Michael Le As we come closer to the end of 2021, delays are unfortunately becoming more frequent. Like many of Jordan Brand’s other Holiday offerings, the Air Jordan 9 “Chile Red” is now, too, slated to start the new year rather than help close out the current one. But to tide us over, the Jumpman has at least unveiled official images of the adult size.
The colorway, which dresses most of its fixtures in the titular red, is a bold start to the Spring. And across a few of the panels, like the midsole and leather overlays, this shade is amplified thanks to a glistening polish. Elsewhere, though, the side panels and lace unit are far more matte by comparison, toning down the bold in tandem with the black neutrals that dress the eyelets, pull tab, branding, and tread.
