Michael Le Spring is soon to Sprung and so, too, is Nike’s same-named collection. And to complement the Air Max 95s revealed prior, the brand is adding to the roster a similarly-designed Air Max 97.
While an ode to the season ahead, the colorway is primarily comprised of neutrals. “Sail” tints quite a bit of the paneling, adding an aged feel to the textured leathers and suedes. A deeper tan is then sandwiched in between, applied atop the tread, the mesh base, and the burlap-esque tongue. Adjacent, two shades of purple come into play; the darker of the two is seen throughout the laces and Air Unit, while the variation lightest accents the side Swoosh and its anthropomorphic caterpillar. Additionally, motifs just as playful can be found atop the tongue and insole.
