While not an original colorway of Michael Jordan’s 11th signature sneaker, the greyscale Air Jordan retro has historically been praised with rivaling sentiments to the model’s inaugural batch of styles. High-quality nubuck and a matching patent leather mudguard on the “Cool Grey” 11 caused a frenzy when they first released in 2001, and are surely to repeat history for their third-ever reissue. Some lucky collectors have been able to secure “W”s via Early and Exclusive Access programs, whereas others await that near-mythical “GOT ‘EM” screen on Saturday, December 11th. And while another group may have to buy the “Cool Grey/Medium Grey”-covered Jordans on the after-market, doing so would arguably be money well-spent given that it’s highly unlikely the colorway returns for another 10 years.
