As online retailers begin to urge shoppers to choose “Expedited Shipping” when checking-out product in order to ensure items arrive by Christmas, some of the biggest players in the sneaker space are beginning to shift their focus to 2022. adidas, however, will not do so until after it re-releases its “Home Alone”-inspired Forum Low collaboration.
Having already launched via the Three Stripes’ CONFIRMED app (and quickly selling out), the shoes return tomorrow, December 11th, as part of the holiday spirit. The off-white and red-colored adidas Originals proposition famously appeared on the “big screen” 31 years ago courtesy of Kevin McCallister (played by Macaulay Culkin). Over the last year-and-a-half, the adidas Forum has enjoyed a surge in popularity, and the upcoming collaboration is sure to only increase the model’s visibility. To honor the occasion, the partners have included “burn” marks on the pair, as well as a number of sock-liners with stills from the original “Home Alone” film. As if there was any way even the most uninformed spectator might not recognize the shoes, the movie’s name is applied to the tops of the sneakers’ tongues, stylized as door mats.
Enjoy more imagery of the collaborative pair here below, and find pairs hitting adidas.com again tomorrow, December 11th.
