Jeremy Scott and adidas haven’t regained their footing since announcing their renewed partnership in early June, in large part because of the most iconic adidas Originals designs to have come out of their early 2010s run haven’t been reissued yet. And by the looks of a newly-surfaced Forum Wings 4.0 donning “reverse” wings, new designs will continue to be priority for the foreseeable future.
As with some of Scott’s most-celebrated work with the Three Stripes, the upcoming sneakers indulge in a “Cloud White”-colored leather upper. Eyelets, midsole components and profile 3-Stripes and other branding – details that commonly boast contrasting tones – all opt to blend into their “colorless” surroundings. Only trefoil logos on the tongue label deviate from the uniform-adidas Forum, complimenting the black lines that run through the set of wings that have its tips pointed towards the toe box instead of away from it as on the Wings 1.0. If history repeats itself, the joint-effort between the American designer and German sportswear behemoth will offer the fashion-forward design in a handful of colorways, which may assist the shoes in experiencing widespread popularity again.
An official adidas.com release date is unknown, but Scott’s latest sneaker is likely to launch in the first-half of 2022. In any case, enjoy images of the pair ahead.
