Hairy Tiger Patterns Appear On The Nike Air Max 1 Golf

Although the Swoosh is constantly innovating for “the green,” the North American sportswear behemoth has taken the last few years to modify some of its most iconic non-golf shoes for the game. Case in point?: The Nike Air Max 1 G, which has recently appeared with bold tiger stripes.

Akin to previously-seen modified-for-golf Nikes and Air Jordans, the newly-surfaced pair indulges in suede and faux fur materials across its upper. Bases are clad in a simple black tone, allowing for overlays around the forefoot, throughout the mid-foot and across the heel to indulge in an eye-catching brown and beige color palette inspired by the tiger’s coat. Profile swooshes, upper eyelets and branding on both the top of the tongue and spine deviate from the aforementioned tones in favor of a mint-like color. Underfoot, Tinker Hatfield’s iconic Air Max 1 maintains much of its original sole unit design, but waffle-patterned outsoles are replaced with golf-course-appropriate traction.

No official release date has been disclosed by the brand, but this golf-ready Air Max is likely to hit Nike.com in the first-half of the new year. In any case, enjoy images of the pair ahead.

Elsewhere under the NIKE, Inc. umbrella, 14 pairs have been confirmed as part of the Air Jordan Spring 2022 collection.
