Chinese New Year is just around the corner, and it seems every brand — be it luxury, streetwear, or apparel — has some collection on the way. And while Nike teased their own offerings many months in advance, they’re a bit slower than adidas to the punch. Today, the Three Stripes have released their own “Lunar New Year” collection, which is made up of both the Forum Low and UltraBOOST 21.
Undoubtedly the star of the show, the Forum Low dresses itself in auspicious tones. A bold red comes forward along the strap, stripes, and lace unit, while also detailing the East Asian motifs displayed across the front. And many of these are featured in less colorful form at the side, sculpted into the upper’s leather parts. The suede elsewhere, in contrast, is entirely unblemished. As for the accompanying UltraBOOST 21, the imprint has taken a much simpler approach, accenting a black-on-white colorway with red hits and symbols similar to its lifestyle counterpart.
