The Nike Air Huarache is no longer celebrating a milestone anniversary, but it doesn’t seem ready to return to oblivion just yet. For its latest proposition, Tinker Hatfield’s 31-year-old design has emerged in a predominantly “Bordeaux”-like color scheme, complete with patent leather overlays.
Akin to successors of the Air Jordan 7, which helped popularize the aforementioned, wine-reminiscent shade, the newly-surfaced pair indulges in a near tonal arrangement across its upper. Mesh and neoprene construction throughout the upper opt for the fan-favorite hue in a matte finish, while overlays around the toe and along the tongue deviate in a glossy patent leather. Given the attention to detail applied to the upcoming sneakers, it’s possible Nike Sportswear has an expansive collection in the works; considering the midsole also features a slightly-yellowed tint, it’s possible the shoes have been designed alongside the string of vintage Nike Dunks on the way.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com release soon.
