The Nike Air Huarache may not boast as expansive a release catalog as other models designed by Tinker Hatfield, but it’s positioned itself as a mainstay in the sneaker space over the last five years. Taking a break from its ever-popular all-“White” and all-“Black” ensembles, the 31-year-old silhouette has recently appeared with “South Beach”-reminiscent colors and hidden camouflage patterns.
Unlike its recently-surfaced Mowabb style, the sneaker has kept things relatively tame across its signature neoprene base, donning shades of grey and aqua. All of the synthetic leather overlays that appear across the upper indulge in a pitch-dark tone that starkly contrasts the remainder of the top-half. The aforementioned blue, however, works in-tandem with the vibrant pink featured on the tongue label and “NIKE”-branded heel clip to deliver Miami-appropriate flair. Underfoot, tooling opts for a tried-and-proven “panda” color palette, which also takes over the camo print stamped onto the sock-liners.
