Sneaker News The upcoming release of the Air Jordan 6 “UNC” has sneaker fanatics chomping at the bit, and with a release not arriving until March 5th, 2022, patience will be tested. Making the wait even more torturous is the newest Air Jordan 6 PE revealed by UNC Football, continuing a streak of Player Only issues rivaled by no other school.
Unlike the retail release version, this Jordan 6 UNC PE contains a monochromatic University Blue upper, with the secondary navy blue accenting the midsole, heel pull-tab, lace-lock, and tongue shroud. Adding that collegiate flair is the North Carolina logo embroidered on the heel, and the number “23” appearing on the tongue shroud via a varsity jacket-style chenille patch. An opaque rubber covers the tongue, heel-tab, and outsole to complete the breathtaking package. These are quite different from the 2017 PE made for the basketball team that brought the school a National Championship.
