The Air Jordan 1 Mid is no longer completely off-limits to even the savviest sneaker enthusiasts, thanks in large part to simple, refreshing colorways. Case in point?: A newly-surfaced pair covered in a summer-appropriate yellow and white scheme.
Reminiscent of inaugural “Chicago” color-blocking, the upcoming women’s-exclusive offering features a white base visible via the toe box and mid-foot; ankle flaps and collar underlays swap looks as the former opts for a “colorless” makeup instead of following surrounding overlays’ arrangement. Profile swooshes and “Wings” insignias on the profiles opt for the vibrant titular tone, creating a look similar to the Air Jordan 1 “Canary Yellow” once teased by the late Virgil Abloh. Underfoot, Peter Moore’s iconic made-for-basketball sole unit rounds out the two-tone aesthetic with bright yellow tread, adding yet another tally to the silhouette’s growing roster of refreshing, straight-forward styles perfect for the warmer seasons.
No firm Nike.com release date has been confirmed by the brand, but that’s likely to change before summer commences. In the meantime, enjoy a look at official images below.
