The sad reality is that Zion Williamson fans will likely not see their superstar-in-the-making play this season, which means the chances of him hooping in his Jordan Zion 1 signature shoe is equally bleak. This is not the scenario that Jordan Brand had imagined for their newest signature shoe athlete, but given the severity of the injury, a slow and steady recovery is far more important to Zion than shoes will ever be.
There was a lot of fanfare behind the Jordan Zion 1 when it first debuted last year, and while we’ve seen a variety of special edition colorways inspired by his family and his Pelicans team, this upcoming colorway rewinds the clock to his days at Duke, when his insane highlights had lottery teams salivating at the mouth. Dressed in a straight forward Duke blue, black, and white, this Zion 1 also features a camouflage pattern hidden in the black heel portion of the shoe.
The Jordan Zion 1 “Duke” is arriving in adult and GS sizes at Jordan retailers soon. In other college-themed Jordan news, the Air Jordan 6 “Georgetown” is set to arrive this September.
