Through 2021, customizers and hobbyist-level DIYers have leaned heavily on the vintage aesthetic. Some have taken to dipping their Air Force 1s in coffee for that aged, yellowed look, while others meticulously apply chalky edges and distressing to their own creations. Though a little late, Nike, too, is joining in on the craze with their Dunk Low “Vintage Green.”
In terms of its colorway, the pair mirrors the “Varsity Green” that released last Summer. The materials, however, are a stark departure from the more ordinary, modern pair, as the colored overlays sport a subtle patina. This finish is not present along the white base nor the nylon tongue, though the laces and midsole are dressed in “Sail” to further emulate older offerings. What’s more, the lining is not your average mesh but a seemingly softer, ribbed textile.
Enjoy an on-foot look at the “Vintage Green” here ahead of this week’s March 24th release. To secure a pair for yourself or someone special, take a look at the store list below.
In other news, the Union Dunk Low Argon is releasing March 31st.
