Jovani Hernandez Throughout its 37 year history, the Nike Dunk Low has dressed up in hundreds of ensembles (not counting those prepped by Nike SB). Recently, Peter Moore’s iconic design has emerged in handfuls of new, refreshing styles, which now include a banana-inspired outfit for women.
Mostly clad in “Coconut Milk” and constructed from leather, the latest pair’s upper is unlike that of many other offerings of Moore’s 1985 design. Much of the top-half is left to match the off-white-colored sole unit underfoot, with contrast beginning at the “Vivid Sulfur”-animates profile swooshes and ankle flaps. While the Swoosh’s design team didn’t go all-out on the banana theme to convert the signature sidewall logos into the fruit, a banana appears on a shoe-specific logo found at the lateral heel. Lastly, brown suede appears on the upper heel panel, further nodding to the Nike Dunk‘s theme.
Enjoy an early look at the pair ahead, and anticipate official Nike SNKRS images and launch details as summer inches closer.
Elsewhere under the NIKE, Inc. umbrella, the Air Jordan 13 “Brave Blue” is set to release for adults and kids on April 30th.
Updated April 14th, 2022: Official images have been updated. The Nike Dunk Low could feature materials made from recycled banana peels.
