Michael Le Whether aged, vintage, or distressed, both Nike and its admirers have taken an obvious liking to qualities of wear. The upcoming Dunk Low “Vintage Green,” for example, reinforces this, as it adds a patina to the upper and yellowed soles underfoot. And while not quite as overt in design, this newly revealed Air Max Plus follows suit, as certain parts of its construction appear overly scuffed.
These scratches are done to both the heel as well as the mudguard, both of whose texture is almost fibrous across the surface. Their color, too, reflects a lived-in feel, as the black seems faded unlike the much darker instances along the toe cap and laces. Elsewhere, the light grey upper and slightly darker TPU cage are far more pristine, visually, which is also true of the predominantly neutral-colored sole, whose Air Unit and shank opt for a bright red shade identical to that of the Swoosh just above.
