This Nike Waffle One Nods To sacai’s Double-Branded Collaborations

This Nike Waffle One Nods To sacai’s Double-Branded Collaborations

The Nike Waffle One has gotten comparisons to sacai‘s LDWaffle comparisons since debuting in early 2021. For its latest colorway, the in-line model has seemingly bought into the comparisons, donning a predominantly cream-colored outfit complete with double swooshes at the profiles.

Like Chitose Abe, the silhouette harkens back to vintage Nike Running propositions, updating them for the modern era. Near-see-through textile, however, is replaced with a much more robust fabric base that is accompanied by suede panels at the tip of the toe, tongue’s surrounding and heel. Contrast stitching across the pair’s upper also draws comparison to the “deconstructed” aesthetic Abe has applied to her Nike collaborations, but as aforementioned, the stacked logos at the sides are the most overt similarity between the Waffle One and sacai’s trainers.

Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and expect a Nike.com launch as summer inches closer.

Elsewhere under the NIKE, Inc. umbrella, there are dozens of Jordan release dates 2022 left.
