Kyrie Irving’s Nike Kyrie Low 5 is ready to be thrust into the market as the summer hooping season is ready to take over. Over the last few years, we can argue that the Low-top counterpart was just as popular — if not more so — than the standard model, and that’s largely in part due to the energetic colorways and collaborations that Nike and Kyrie worked tirelessly on to bring to the fold. For the Kyrie Low 5, no such collabs have been confirmed for now, but we’re starting to see the collection of in-line options as we officially started the SU22 market season.
Seen here is a black, white, and chile red concoction – a straightforward approach to one of the most common basketball shoe colorways ever. The blocking of the black/white are quite high-contrast as the white accentuates the natural design lines of the silhouette, while hits of Chile Red mark the minute details that signify Kyrie’s personal life. A date of April 12th, 2021 appears inside the tongue flap, which we presume is an important date in KAI’s timeline.
Currently, the Kyrie Low 5 is expected to release on Nike.com and partnering retailers in May.
