The Darkside Initiative Honors Virgil Abloh’s Legacy With Off-White Charity Raffle For Local Hospital

The Darkside Initiative Honors Virgil Abloh’s Legacy With Off-White Charity Raffle For Local Hospital

On April 8th, 2022, Nike and partnering retailers will release the first Off-White x Nike collaboration since Virgil Abloh’s untimely passing in late 2021. It truly is a bittersweet moment for sneaker fans as the first posthumous release acts as a reminder of his absence as well as his lasting legacy. The Darkside Initiative, one of the select global retailers that will release the shoes, has chosen this occasion to simultaneously honor Abloh while raising awareness of a key cause that impacts the local community.

In lieu of a standard raffle, The Darkside Initiative has arranged a charity raffle release to raise funds for the UCSF Pediatric Oncology Clinic. A $3 donation counts as a raffle entry (enter here) and you must comment with the desired color and size. Currently, they’ve raised around 75% of their goal of $10,000. In addition to raising funds for the hospital, Darkside Initiative has recently made a donation in the form of Air Zoom Pulse sneakers to the UCSF Pediatric Oncology nurses.
