Rugged Materials And Removable Pouches Are Among This New Balance 2002R’s Many Highlights

At the turn of the year, New Balance showcased a renewed interest in the 2002R, delivering new colorways of the “Protection Pack” alongside a drove of equally attractive GRs. Soon, the silhouette will also take part in the Freshgoods-led “Conversations Amongst Us” collection, which highlights the classic runner in a cream-dominant palette.

And that’s not all the shoe has in store for us, as it’s recently been unveiled in a new, rugged make-up. But its materials — which blend together leather, mesh, and buttery suedes — are far from the only highlight. Removable pouches, too, are packaged alongside, covering the entire lace unit with its orange and grey ripstop. Elsewhere, the latter neutral dresses many a different texture, such as the short and long hair suede, the hex-patterned base, and even the metallic-like finish of the midsole. Navy also makes an appearance, albeit only along the “N” logo, tread, and cushioning.
