Woven Checkerboards Dress This Part-Recycled Nike Air Huarache

Ever since Space Hippie’s introduction, Nike has made large improvements to their overall sustainability, introducing new practices, methods, and initiatives every season. And though the recycled parts are undoubtedly paramount, we shouldn’t make light of the brand’s creativity, as they’re continuing to find unique, refreshing ways of using these materials.

This upcoming Air Huarache is further proof of this, as the colorway is as attractive as it is Earth conscious. Recycled materials are toned down in favor of a lifestyle look, mainly outfitting the heel piece, tongue patch, and sole. The upper, save for the base, is rather ordinary, with off-white shades marking the leathers and white neutrals the lace unit, tongue, and nylon-constructed sections. Underneath, though, the woven checkerboard is unique not only to the silhouette but the catalog as well, its webbing alternating between the two aforementioned colors.
