The Nike Dunk High “Wolf Grey” Pays A Subtle Homage To The “Be True To Your School” Pack

The Nike Dunk High “Wolf Grey” Pays A Subtle Homage To The “Be True To Your School” Pack

It’s been nearly 37 years since the original release of the “Be True To Your School” Pack, and yet the collection still bears influence on the current generation of the Nike Dunk. This is especially evident with this upcoming Dunk High, whose “Wolf Grey” colorway masks a flattering homage to the collegiate offerings.

At first glance, one wouldn’t be able to guess the pair was inspired by the “BTTYS” colorways at all. The “Wolf Grey” used along the tumbled leather base and suede overlays carry no association with any of the included schools. But the midsole and laces, in their vintage-inspired treatment, celebrate the collection’s age, while the sockliner and outsole make direct reference to the pack with the inclusion of a classic ad.
