2021 closed with the promise of the Air Trainer 1‘s return, and Nike more than delivered with a number of Air Trainer 1 SPs. But OG colorways — such as the “Chlorophyll” — have yet to touch down in 2022, though we have an inkling that will change this May.
Among the silhouette’s best offerings, the “Chlorophyll” is one of the pairs expected to come back later this season. And as official images reveal, the 2022 Retro is a relatively close reconstruction of the original. Black leathers lay smooth against the toe, matching the strap just adjacent, while the Swoosh offers an identical tone but a pebbled textured. Behind, grey nubuck covers much of the forefoot, profile, and counter, while white builds out the rest of the base. These same neutrals appear elsewhere as well, outfitting the sole and the lace unit. Finally, green accents dress both the Nike branding the topmost eyelet.
At select retailers, the Air Trainer 1 “Chlorophyll” is currently scheduled for a May 1st release, though that date is likely a placeholder. More details should surface very soon, so sit tight and take a look at the official images below in the meantime.
In other news, official images of the Dunk Low Doernbecher surfaced this past weekend.
