In design, the Eames name is extremely beloved, as both Charles and Ray Eames created a wealth of iconic pieces for both Herman Miller and Vitra. And today, the firm — which originally began with the two’s marriage and move to California in 1941 — is run by the family’s third generation, who have recently teamed up with Reebok to further celebrate the late husband-and-wife duo.
Moving away from the Club C, this Summer’s collaborative capsule puts a spotlight on the equally iconic Classic Leather, which will be releasing throughout June in a wealth of inspired colorways.
The Coloring Toy
The Eames x Reebok Classic Leather “The Coloring Toy” is inspired by the 1955 creation of the same name, which was a coloring and construction kit made for children. And much like the toy itself, the footwear encourages experimentation and creativity, as the wearer is meant to color in the shapes stamped across the upper.
Introducing the collection, “The Coloring Toy” is slated to release through EamesOffice.com on June 2nd; another release through Reebok.com and select retailers will follow on June 10th.

Rosewood
Made to resemble the dark, plywood shell of the Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman, the Classic Leather “Rosewood” celebrates not only an iconic design but also one of Charles and Ray Eames’ favorite materials. Woodgrain prints are applied to the leather upper, and the insole features an exploded diagram of the aforementioned furniture piece.
Releasing a week after “The Coloring Toy,” the “Rosewood” will hit EamesOffice.com on June 9th and Reebok.com / select retailers on June 10th.

The Elephant Pack
Unlike the above-mentioned pairs, the “Elephant Pack” wasn’t previously-teased by Reebok confidants. Borrowing design elements from the Eames Elephant, which is a small children’s play object that was conceived in the 1940s, this collection of Classic Leathers arrives in three colorways: “Red,” “Ice Grey,” and “Lime.” These hues dress everything from the shoe’s leather paneling to the elephant face that covers the laces, mirroring its inspiration’s currently available selection.
The “Elephant Pack” will be available through EamesOffice.com on June 20th and Reebok.com / select retailers on June 21st.
