Michael Le 2022 has been extremely kind to the Air Jordan 3: following word of the “Fire Red” colorway’s return, the silhouette has dropped a number of new make-ups, from “Cardinal” to “Muslin.” And first next month, we’ll be seeing yet another attractive offering: the aptly named “Desert Elephant.”
The “Desert Elephant” takes the color blocking of classics previous — namely, the “Black Cement” — and swaps in new materials and tones. Its overlays, for starters, forgo the beloved “Elephant Print,” replacing it with a brown paneling that’s texturally akin to elephant leather. Elsewhere, the reds of the foremost eyelets and Jumpman logo have been shifted to a lighter orange, and the suedes adjacent select a light tan instead of grey. Black uppers, though, are still intact, backlight the aforementioned features as well as the Jordan Air along the tongue.
For a closer, official look at the “Desert Elephant,” see below. These are slated to release on July 1st via Nike SNKRS as well as select retailers.
In other Jumpman news, they just debuted the Jordan Sophia Slide.
