Up to this year, few silhouettes have seen as grand a celebration as the Air Force 1, as the classic has released and unveiled a sizable collection of colorways across the first half of its 40th birthday. And here, yet another is joining the fray, delivering a black-dominant palette and a number of luxurious details befitting its “Anniversary Edition” mark.

In regards to this pair’s materials, few are standard: only the toe, mid-panel, and tongue proffer a smooth leather, albeit one seemingly more premium than what’s found on your average GR. Adjacent, the toe and counter dial things up a couple dollar signs, opting for a bold yet subtle snakeskin; the Swoosh and heel tab complement in their own texture, one made up of multiple pebbles. The neutral look of these fixtures is then broken up by the gilded accents elsewhere, such as the custom dubrae, eyelets, and insole branding.
