The Nike Dunk High 1985 Gets Draped In Faded “Blue Denim”

The Nike Dunk High 1985 Gets Draped In Faded “Blue Denim”

Unlike the Air Jordan 1 ’85, which drew in quite a bit of applause upon its debut, the Dunk High 1985 has flew relatively under the radar. But that hasn’t stopped Nike from lining up new releases, such as this recently-surfaced “Blue Denim” colorway.

Though it may feature a shape reminiscent of the 1985 original, this pair’s materials and colors are far from BTTYS-inspired. The overlays, for starters, feature a thick, slightly-pilled slab of denim, which is evenly faded to a light wash. And unlike an actual pair of jeans, the stitching opts for dark blue threading along the edge of every one of the aforementioned panels. Rounding out the construction are a series of tumbled leathers, whose white finish complements the adjacent laces and tongue as well as the lining and outsole; the midsole, however, opts to emulate age through light yellowing.

For a closer look at the Dunk High 1985 “Blue Denim,” peep the official images below. A release date is surely fast-approaching, and sizes are likely to hit select retailers as well as Nike SNKRS.

In other news, more Gucci x adidas Gazelles are landing at the end of the month.
