A Yankees-Colored Nike Air Force 1 Appears Ahead Of The Subway Series

The New York Yankees need no introduction, but their influence on the sneaker scene hasn’t been as well documented in recent years. Ahead of the latest Subway Series against the Mets, however, the Nike Air Force 1 has ostensibly indulged in a color palette in support of the Bronx-based squad.

Although the current best record holders aren’t exclusive owners of a grey and navy color combination, the Yankees have popularized the two-tone arrangement. Its appearance on the Air Force 1 Low sees the darker of the two hues cover the majority of the heel, while varying shades of grey dominate everything from the toe box to the profile swooshes. Sole units opt for a similar color palette, rounding out the Yankees-friendly style.

No firm Nike.com release date has been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change as the end of the year approaches. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
