Jared Ebanks As a relatively novel addition in The Swoosh’s already massive catalog of running silhouettes, the Zoom-X cushioned model designed for logging hard miles has featured only a handful of offerings since its debut in April. Reconstructed from its 2019 predecessor with the Next Nature format, the next proposal of the Nike Pegasus Turbo is joining the Women’s Unity Pack in a brightly colored array.
The entirety of the 100% recycled Flyknit upper is done in a simple white cast, permitting the inclusion of a “Royal Blue” Swoosh beneath hot pink threaded dressing that loops around light “Salmon Orange” laces. The medial side symmetrically opts for the pink caging alongside a stitched heel Swoosh and vertical spine with the familiar blue-hued pinwheel logo gracing the upper tongue. While the design elects for a softened collection of pastels, encased within the lower half of the model is a boastful conclusion to the color palette with an amalgamation of women’s runners covering the insoles in the formers tonal spectrum as contour logos of outstretched opposing arms are centered in the heel. The non-uniform build of the 55% recycled midsole forgoes any further vivid detailing and instead further extends the reprocessed aesthetic of the sustainably-minded silhouette.
