Jared Ebanks While the heralded Air Jordan 1 continues to provide inspiration for modernized constructions of Jordan Brand’s debut silhouette, Jumpman has continued to toy with the inclusion of its contemporary cushioning systems for the latest offering of the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT in a reminiscent textile.
Inspired by the Dream Team’s visit to Barcelona during the 1992 Summer Olympics, the synonymous geometric color blocking throughout the underlying tongue construction and insoles identically flaunts the pattern residing within the Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT “Hare”. An olive-tinted “Khaki” tone dresses a majority of the retooled suede panels and overlays of the upper while a dark maroon shade emboldens the debossed Swoosh and trefoil collar logo above a white leather vamp, quarter and Zoom midsole. Accenting the relatively muted rendition are black laces, exposed heel counter and tongue tag with seldom touches of “Neon Green” emanating from the ZOOM branding.
