Since its return to the Boston brand’s collection of sleek streetwear silhouettes in 2020, the New Balance 2002R’s fanbase has only continued to grow exponentially with collaborations and remixed color palettes of the modern era perpetually dawning the model. With the latter half in mind, the latest 2002r receives a preeminent rustic sunset ensemble.
Mirroring the orange hues that fill the sky as the sun sets in the Summer months, the uppers construction features a medley of darkened carrot coloring filling the pig suede overlays, underlying mesh construction and knitted laces in tandem with dark amber leather propositions flowing from underneath the suede mudguard and below the ankle collar. The formers dim hue is additionally treated in the upper eyelets and forefoot lacing loop while the matching insole provides the only offering of a clad dark tone. In contrast the upper is brightened with a grey “N” logo and cream trim alongside the metallic silver backtab. Underfoot the midsole is outfitted with the logos trim scheme, the latter of which is partly colored in tan with auburn exposed pods and a black tread rounding out the design elements.
