Tom Sachs may not be among the most recognizable collaborators in Nike’s history, but his projects have become some of the most exciting given their roll-out, ethos and design. The American designer’s NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe may have been intended to be “boring,” but it’s quickly experienced some of the hype past efforts have.
On Friday, September 2nd, Sachs and company will release another style of the simple silhouette. Clad in a color Nike has dubbed “Archive,” the next Tom Sachs sneaker features a mix of durable materials across its upper, with suede reinforcement around the toe, along the tongue and throughout the heel boasting a muted shade of the titular golden tone. Pull tabs opt for contrasting orange flair (that matches with the shoe box), while sole units underfoot revert to an understated color palette that allows for the aforementioned hues to revel that much more in the spotlight.
Enjoy images of the pair ahead, and try your luck via Nike SNKRS and select shops on Friday, September 2nd, for $110 USD.
