As the Swoosh continues to celebrate the Nike Air Force 1‘s 40th anniversary, the Oregon-based company keeps reinventing the silhouette via color combinations, materials and concepts. Propositions like the women’s PLT.AF.ORM iteration, however, teeter the line between the familiar and new.

Recently, the fashion-forward take on Bruce Kilgore’s creation from 1982 emerged in a clean “Coconut Milk” ensemble. The re-worked panels across the forefoot, mid-foot and heel indulge in the titular off-white tone, with lateral profile swooshes deviating in a faint rose hue. The exaggerate sole unit reverts to a drab look, opting for a yellow finish that delivers a “Neo-vintage” aesthetic to the women’s Air Force 1 Low.

Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch soon.
