Thanks to a quick reintroduction in 2019, Sean McDowell’s future-forward Air Max cushioned silhouette has gone from an obscure cult classic to receiving a litany of proposals set forth by the Beaverton-based brand. With the full tonal spectrum gracing the Air Max Plus 3 throughout the summer months, a black-on-black aesthetic is filling the latest slate of fall-friendly propositions.
A pitch-dark aesthetic takes hold throughout the model, filling the mesh construction of the forefoot covered in thin translucent TPU strips while the mudguard renders a glossy finish. The adjacent molded heel counter proffers silver accents whereas its collar, tip of the midsole and tongue flaunt various branding elements treated in white. Divvying up its murky ensemble, the forefoots embroidered Swoosh sits atop stenciled insignias spray painted in the two latter hues. The third installment of the “TN” series concludes with its namesakes logos fitting the tongue and heel on the medial side.
