Jared Ebanks Throughout the Nike Air Force 1’s 40th anniversary, The Swoosh has chosen to reserve the selection of its winterized aesthetics drastically to just a handful of offerings over the past few months. The change in seasons, however, should mark increased appearances of the AF1 React such as this “White/Sail” proposition.
Employing its typical melding of the original cracked leathers with transparent TPU paneling, the silhouette introduces a brightly-hued build with the model’s staple leathers filling the forefoot and quarter overlay. The latter half of the model harkens its inside-out ensemble adorned with double-stacked Checks rendering black and white shades while golden ring eye stays and eyelets establish hidden premium embellishments. Further darkening the model, embroidered “NIKE AIR” text bears the heel and a polka-dot print treats the rear pull tab whereas the semi-translucent midsole of the heel and rubber shank return to the Off-White scheme before 40th-anniversary insignias conclude along the black insoles.
