Reebok Collaborates With Nao Serati In Celebration Of South African Pride Month

Dominated by its historic connection to the hardwood, Reebok has continued to implore a bevy of Iverson-endorsed silhouettes throughout the year whilst expanding its roster of collaborative partners. In celebration of South African Pride Month this October, the Boston-based brand has announced its latest global team-up with Johannesburg-based athleisure brand Nao Serati.

Founded by Neo Serati Mofammere in 2014, the contemporary brand traverses the margins of gender identity, art and sexuality through non-binary garments that sparks dialogue while remaining rooted to his South African heritage. Exploring the full breadth of the Progress Flags’ 11 separate titular hues, the capsule of silhouettes taps the Nano X2, Classic Slide, Club C and Classic Leather by drawing on Serati’s experience as a queer individual in his native country. Alongside the established rainbow ensemble which serves to celebrate the country’s LGBTQIA+ community, each model comes adorned with a woven Nao Serati x Reebok tongue badge while the Classic Slide renders a debossed aesthetic.

Accompanied by a subsequent apparel collection that was wear tested by individuals from a variety of gender identities, the inclusive capsule will be available at Reebok.com on Friday, October 7th. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pairs below.

In other news, a first look at the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “True Blue” has recently surfaced.
