Michael Le Nike takes great care in their Chinese New Year themed offerings, and 2023 is poised to be no exception. Alongside a likely extensive collection of standouts, the Swoosh will be dropping the tasteful Dunk High “Lunar New Year,” which — following several leaks over the course of the past month — just surfaced via official images.
Compared to the Swoosh’s past efforts, such as the Air Jordan 1 Low from 2021 or the Air Max 98 from 2019, the Dunk High “Lunar New Year” is designed in a more understated fashion. The colorway itself is mainly comprised of neutrals, with grey suedes and white leathers applied to the overlays and base, respectively. Elsewhere, the Swoosh deviates slightly in its light tan finish, which complements the gold cast of the mountainscape emblazoned onto the lateral heel as well as the Chinese characters stamped onto the tongue and sockliner.
Rounded out with green lining and an icy blue outsole, the Nike Dunk High “Lunar New Year” is expected to release in 2023. For a closer look, check out the official images added below.
