Michael Le Despite not satisfying Phil Knight upon first viewing, the Swoosh has since become one of the most recognizable logos on the planet. And over the course of the last few decades, Nike has played around heavily with Carolyn Davidson’s iconic design, often reimagining it entirely. The insignia has even become a tool for over-branding, as evidenced not just by a drove of prior releases but also this upcoming, newly-revealed Dunk Low.
Preceded by a matching Air Force 1, this Dunk Low features multiple Swooshes across its lateral profile. Slightly altered, embroidered styles sit to the side of the silhouette’s usual, leather-constructed check, which is dressed in orange and blue across the left and right foot, respectively. Their adjacent counterparts are clad in equally bold colors, matching the sockliner, midsole speckles, and tongue branding. The base, then, rounds out the colorway in a scheme reminiscent of the ever-ubiquitous “Panda.”
