Jared Ebanks Since its collaborative efforts with Patta over the summer, the Nike Air Max 1 has been relatively reserved throughout the latter few months. But as the weather continues to cool and crisp leaves shed more frequently, Tinker Hatfield’s iconic design is beginning to dress in the upcoming winter’s appropriate textiles, extending a clad “Burgundy Crush” ensemble for its latest outfit.
Indulging in premium tooling throughout, a buttery tumbled leather envelops the midfoot overlay whereas its mudguard and heel panels proffer a smoother texture. Dipped in its entirety in the lush dark maroon hue, the silhouette’s varying collection of fabrics enter the fold through a plush velvet vamp and heel counter made of a faux reptile skin. Providing a darkened contrast through the latter section, its Swoosh and debossed tongue tabs, golden metallic eye stays brighten the murky ensemble set forth.
Set atop a threaded sole unit infused with an exposed Air cassette in the heel, the women’s-exclusive Air Max 1 “Burgundy Crush” is currently set to tentatively release on November 25th. In the meantime, enjoy official imagery of the pair below.
