Jared Ebanks DC’s live-action universe may pale in comparison to the MCU, but their collaborative efforts in the realm of sneakers have presided above the rest of the pack for years. Now, Reebok is giving us the choice to fight for good or scheme mischievously in the shadows, harkening Warner Bros. iconic super heroes and villains for a collaborative collection with DC Comics.
Tapping six silhouettes from the Boston-based brands roster, Shaquille O’Neal’s Man of Steel monicker is perfectly encapsulated on the Reebok Shaq Attaq “Superman” while the recently debuted Reebok LX2200 takes on the aesthetic of the Dark Knight’s Batsuit through foam molded synthetics.
The Arkham Knight’s arch-nemesis emboldens the Club 85, extending The Joker’s synonymous green and purple suit across the silhouette’s tear-away upper. Meanwhile Harley Quinn anchors a women’s-exclusive Freestyle Hi contrasted by samples of blood red and bright blue. Similar to the caped crusader’s ensemble, Wonder Woman’s Reebok Nano X2 infuses one of the brand’s most versatile silhouettes with her gold plated armor, whereas a glow-in-the-dark scheme bears the Workout Plus akin to the Kryptonite-powered suit of Lex Luthor.
